a fan site which is not official NARUTO!!

FANS UNITE!!!
This is a fan based website for the anime show called NARUTO
i actually met the guy who created it when he came over from america which was such a coincidence. i was wearing a piece of 'naruto' clothing and the guy came up to me. he told me about his website and i knew it all too well!!!

so here it is. it isn't proffesional, but its amazing and it just goes to show how much work some people put into the things they love.

it is obviously for a very select group who enjoy japanese art and have a slight obsession with naruto. (niche audiences)

it allows you to view all new information about the show and the site (blogger). it allows you to comment on this new information by leaving your personal views or to say something funny. this creates a community of people with similar hobbies and allows you to get in touch with people all over the world. (increasing interactivity)

there is every bit of information about teh show, events and future things, it is mindboggeling, i didn't even know some of the things they put on the website.

they offer flash games and films which allows you to interact. they also have quizzes and tests so that you enjoy teh wensite. you can download the manga and the tv show and even a few movies and they are the latest out tehre on the internet so they are up to date!!

you can also download art, fanart and fanfiction(stroies) and you can share your own stuff with others and recieve feedback. this is good for people who are trying to get recognised as artists or writers because they can see if people like their work.

forums allow you to find out what other people think and sets up a connection between you and the rest of 'naruto' world!!! there are also links to other sites relating to anime and manga (japanese art) and also to the show naruto. this gives the audiences a wider range of sites to explore and discover.

the page is beautiful and colour coded with subtle oranges and reds, and a big banner across the screen shows the main character of the show in full atire. it is asthetically pleasing and easy to navigate, however as i said before the site is targeting niche audiences and probably the younger years so everything is user friendly.

this is a good example of fanbased concepts, about how fans get obsessed and create their own means of reaching out. the page is also good to show interactivity and nonlinear viewing because you can interact with all that the website has to offer and you can watch the episodes and the movies when ever you want and find out information about viewing times months before they come out!!
  • interactivity-meeting other people and playing games
  • non-linear-watch and read whatever you want and whenever you want.
  • convergence- getting everything from movies to songs to online books and games all into one place.
